The remotely controlled machine is based on well proven Norhard Technology – fully electric operation, none rotating drill string and in-built functionality for navigation and steering.
The machine is produced for Forte Bergboring and we are now operating it for drilling of the 1650 m long pressure shaft for Erikselva Power Plant under construction.
Direct directional drilling of tunnels with diameter 1200 mm will reduce construction time for hydro power shafts in this diameter segment with 50 % and make more new hydro power potentials profitable.
