Yesterday we had the tunnel breakthrough on the 1486 meter long pressure shaft for a new power plant at Kjerringnes, Sogn og Fjordane. The project is being done on behalf of Captiva AS.
The drilling operation at Kjerringnes is a piloting activity under our ongoing ECO-Drilling project co -funded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union.
The pilot hole has a diameter of 0,7 m, but the tunnel will be re-drilled to extend the pilot hole diameter to 1,2 meter.
